It reads a page when a person shares its link in a chat or a social network, to show its title and image. Bot Protection lets it through by default; you can block it.
How to verify it
Any bot can write TelegramBot in its User-Agent. A request is TelegramBot only when its address is in Telegram's published list below: check the address, not the name.
How to block it
Bot Protection verifies TelegramBot by its address on every request and answers it as you choose on the Set-up page, per kind or for TelegramBot alone; a bot that only wears the name is judged like any other bot.
